A. Administration
The divine strength or ability to organize multiple tasks and groups of people to accomplish these tasks.
1 Corinthians 12:28 – “And God has placed in the church first of all apostles… then gifts of helping, of guidance…”
Exodus 18:21 – “But select capable men… and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.”
B. Apostleship
The divine strength or ability to pioneer new churches and ministries through planting, overseeing, and training.
Ephesians 4:11 – “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets… to equip his people for works of service.”
Acts 13:2-3 – “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
C. Craftsmanship
The divine strength or ability to plan, build, and work with your hands to support ministry.
Exodus 31:3-5 – “I have filled him with the Spirit of God… to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze.”
2 Chronicles 2:13-14 – “…skilled to work in gold, silver, bronze, iron, stone and wood…”
D. Discernment
The divine strength or ability to identify truth from error and understand spiritual motives.
1 Corinthians 12:10 – “…to another distinguishing between spirits…”
Hebrews 5:14 – “…who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.”
E. Evangelism
The divine strength or ability to clearly communicate the gospel to non-believers.
2 Timothy 4:5 – “Do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.”
Acts 8:5 – “Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there.”
F. Exhortation
The divine strength or ability to encourage others through words, Scripture, or action.
Romans 12:8 – “If it is to encourage, then give encouragement…”
Hebrews 10:24-25 – “Let us consider how we may spur one another on… encouraging one another…”
G. Faith
The divine strength or ability to trust God for what others may see as impossible.
1 Corinthians 12:9 – “…to another faith by the same Spirit…”
Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
H. Giving
The divine strength or ability to joyfully and generously give resources to advance God’s Kingdom.
Romans 12:8 – “If it is giving, then give generously…”
2 Corinthians 9:7 – “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give… for God loves a cheerful giver.”
I. HealinG
The divine strength or ability to pray for the sick and see restoration of health.
1 Corinthians 12:9 – “…to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit…”
James 5:14 – “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them…”
J. Helps
The divine strength or ability to assist others joyfully, especially behind the scenes.
1 Corinthians 12:28 – “…those having gifts of helping…”
Romans 16:1-2 – “I commend to you our sister Phoebe… she has been the benefactor of many people, including me.”
K. Hospitality
The divine strength or ability to create warm, welcoming environments for others.
1 Peter 4:9 – “Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.”
Romans 12:13 – “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”
L. Intercession
The divine strength or ability to stand in prayer for people, events, and needs with persistence and boldness.
James 5:16 – “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
Colossians 1:9 – “We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will…”
M. Knowledge
The divine strength or ability to understand and communicate deep biblical truths.
1 Corinthians 12:8 – “…to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit…”
Colossians 2:2-3 – “…in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
N. Leadership
The divine strength or ability to influence and guide others toward a vision or goal.
Romans 12:8 – “…if it is to lead, do it diligently…”
Hebrews 13:7 – “Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you…”
O. Mercy
The divine strength or ability to deeply care for people who are hurting or in need.
Romans 12:8 – “…if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
Matthew 5:7 – “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.”
P. Miracles
The divine strength or ability to believe for and witness supernatural acts of God.
1 Corinthians 12:10 – “…to another miraculous powers…”
Acts 19:11 – “God did extraordinary miracles through Paul…”
Q. Missionary
The divine strength or ability to reach and serve people across cultures and backgrounds.
Matthew 28:19 – “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…”
Acts 1:8 – “…you will be my witnesses… to the ends of the earth.”
R. Music/Worship
The divine strength or ability to lead others in worship through music, song, or instrument.
Psalm 150:4 – “Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet… with the harp and lyre.”
2 Chronicles 5:13 – “The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord…”
S. Pastor/Shepherd
The divine strength or ability to care for, disciple, and walk with people through life.
1 Peter 5:2 – “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care…”
Ephesians 4:11-12 – “…the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service…”
T. Prophecy
The divine strength or ability to speak truth boldly and offer God-inspired insight.
1 Corinthians 14:3 – “The one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort.”
Romans 12:6 – “If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith.”
U. Service
The divine strength or ability to do practical tasks that support the church mission.
Romans 12:7 – “If it is serving, then serve…”
Galatians 5:13 – “…serve one another humbly in love.”
V. Teaching
The divine strength or ability to explain and apply God’s Word in a way others understand.
Romans 12:7 – “…if it is teaching, then teach…”
2 Timothy 2:2 – “Entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
W. Tongues & Interpretation
The divine strength or ability to speak or interpret spiritual languages for edification.
1 Corinthians 12:10 – “…to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation…”
1 Corinthians 14:27 – “If anyone speaks in a tongue… someone must interpret.”
X. Wisdom
The divine strength or ability to apply biblical truth practically and with spiritual insight.
1 Corinthians 12:8 – “…to one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom…”
James 3:17 – “The wisdom that comes from heaven is… full of mercy and good fruit…”
