Pastors Kyle & Kara Veach have pastoring since 2010, serving as youth pastors for nearly four years and lead pastors of a church in Washington state for just over ten years.

After a year of preparation and pastoring at Daybreak Church in Carlsbad, they are now launching Discover Church in San Marcos with their three kids—Boston, Beckham, and Berkeley.

Discover Church was born from a God-sized dream to see lives transformed by Jesus in San Marcos, CA. For us, church is about people discovering hope, purpose, and community in Christ. Our journey in ministry has spanned over a decade, leading a church in WA state for ten years, youth pastoring, discipling leaders, and seeing firsthand how the gospel changes lives. We are passionate about making Jesus known, building authentic relationships, and equipping people to live out their faith in a meaningful way.

OUR STORY

Pastors Kyle and Kara Veach - lead pastors of Discover Church in San Marcos, CA.

Kyle grew up as a pastor’s kid, but his faith became real at 17 when two mentors invested in him. That moment changed everything and set him on the path of ministry. Since then, he has spent years leading, preaching, and discipling people to experience the love of Jesus. Kyle is passionate about training men to be leaders in the home, teaching the Bible to people of every age and stage, and equipping families and young professionals with tools to live out the life God has for them.

Kara has always had a heart for making complex things simple—whether that’s helping people engage with the Bible, equipping women and families to raise kids with a biblical worldview, or creating spaces where people find belonging. As a former high school teacher and current volleyball coach at Mission Hills HS, Kara passionate about encouraging and training the next generation of young people.
