WHAT WE BELIEVE
our BELIEFS
the·ol·o·gy – the study of the nature of God and spiritual truth
God
We believe that God is eternal and has revealed Himself as one God, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of humanity—conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man.
(Luke 1:26–35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6)
We believe Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day, appearing personally to His followers.
(1 Corinthians 15:1–8; Romans 4:25)
We believe Jesus ascended into Heaven and will return again for His Church.
(John 14:2–3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18)
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells all believers. Through the baptism with the Holy Spirit, believers are empowered for service and equipped with spiritual gifts. This baptism is commonly evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit enables. The Spirit equips believers with gifts for ministry and cultivates Christ-like character.
(Luke 11:13; Acts 1:8; 2:1–4; 8:17; 10:44–46; 19:6; Galatians 5:22–23; 1 Corinthians 12)
We believe in the present-day operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the building up of the Church.
(1 Corinthians 12–14)
Man & Salvation
We believe that humanity was created in God’s image but fell through disobedience and became spiritually lost and incapable of attaining righteousness apart from God.
(Romans 3:11; 5:12, 18)
We believe that salvation is a gift of God, received by grace through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, whose atoning work on the cross secured our redemption.
(Ephesians 2:8–9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11)
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God—uniquely authoritative and free from error in all it affirms, including matters of history, science, morality, and theology.
(2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13)
Water Baptism
We believe that water baptism by immersion is an outward sign of the inward transformation that takes place through salvation, and is a command of Jesus for all believers.
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; 10:44–48; 19:1–6)
tithes & offerings
We believe that tithing—the practice of giving the first ten percent of our income—is a biblical principle that honors God as our provider. Tithing supports the local church and reflects our obedience, trust, and partnership in God’s mission.
(Malachi 3:10; Leviticus 27:30)
We believe that offerings are voluntary gifts given above and beyond the tithe. Offerings are an act of worship and generosity, used to meet needs, advance ministry, and demonstrate our gratitude to God.
(2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9)
Healing
We believe in divine healing as part of Christ’s atonement and available to believers through prayer and faith in God’s power.
(Acts 4:24–31; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14–15)
Communion
We believe in the Lord’s Supper (Communion) as a symbolic act of remembrance for believers—honoring Christ’s sacrifice and anticipating His return.
(1 Corinthians 11:23–32)
ETERNITY
We believe in eternal life in Heaven for those who place their faith in Christ, and eternal separation from God in Hell for those who reject Him.
(John 5:24; 3:16; Mark 9:43–50; 2 Thessalonians 1:8–9; Revelation 20:10–15)
We believe every person will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ to receive eternal life or death
(Rev. 20:11-15; Heb. 9:27; 2 Cor. 5:10).
