WE CARE FOR THE FAMILY | Discover Church Value #4
⛪️ MONDAY MORNING CHURCH ⛪️
Hey Discover Church,
At Discover Church, we believe church should be the best hour of your family’s week. We launch weekly services on September 21st, which means we are 55 days away, and we can’t wait to be a part of you and your family’s week! We have five main values that center around making all 168 hours in your week life-giving and Jesus-centered.
We Believe in Jesus.
We Teach the Bible.
We Put People First.
We Care for the Family.
We Have Lots of Fun.
That’s why one of our core values is this:
WE CARE FOR THE FAMILY
Early in our conversations about Discover Church, Kara and I sat around a table with our church planting coaches, mulling over details about what we wanted this community to look like. They asked us this simple question,
“What do you want your church to be known for?”
We simply answered:
“We want to help families win at life!”
So that led to the vision of our church:
We exist to help you and your family win at what matters most.
When you show up to Discover Church, you’ll find something more than childcare. You’ll find a safe, fun, Jesus-centered environment where kids are seen, loved, and discipled. We want to wow your kids and give them a faith they can own—not just borrow. And we’re here to help YOU in navigating how to do this!
Why does this matter so much?
Because kids matter to God.
Because your family matters to us.
And because what happens in the hearts of kids today shapes who they’ll become tomorrow. The Bible is very clear when it comes to raising children. It’s all about creating healthy boundaries, Biblical wisdom, and life-giving discipline so children can grow up disciplined and reliant on God:
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.” – Psalm 127:3-4
The numbers don’t lie
Research confirms what Scripture has always said: when we invest in kids early, it changes their future.
A study by Barna Group found that 64% of Christians made a commitment to Jesus before the age of 18.
And children who regularly attend church are three times more likely to be involved in church as adults.
According to Lifeway Research, children who grow up attending church weekly are 75% more likely to maintain a strong faith into adulthood.
Did you know that the average parent has just 936 weekends between their child’s birth and high school graduation? That’s it—936 chances to shape a soul, speak truth, and point them toward Jesus. At Discover Church, we believe every one of those weekends matters.
That’s why every week, we work hard to create a place where your kids don’t just learn about Jesus—they experience Him. We want Sunday to be their favorite day of the week.
We care for the family, not just by saying it—but by building everything we do with families in mind. From check-in to clean spaces to background-checked volunteers to fun and unforgettable Bible teaching—your kids matter.
What does it mean to put kids first? It means:
We build ministries around equipping families, not just entertaining kids.
We partner with parents, not replace them.
We view kids as leaders-in-training, not just the future of the church—but the church right now.
So what can you do this week?
1️⃣ Pray for your kids.
Speak life over them. Ask God to give them a hunger for His Word.
2️⃣ Prioritize church this Sunday.
Don’t underestimate what one hour can do. Make it your family’s priority to be in church each and every week.
3️⃣ Ask your kids what they learned.
The conversation afterward is where discipleship takes root. Sometimes it’s rich, sometime’s it’s a one-word answer, but building habits of processing what God’s doing in their life is more meaningful than what comes out of their mouth.
4️⃣ Invite a friend.
One simple invite can change the trajectory of another family. Encourage your kids to invite their friends. Do one better, offer to bring their friend to church!
Family’s lives are often changed by one child attending church and inviting the rest. We believe God wants to do something powerful in your family this year—and we’re here to partner with you every step of the way.
Let’s raise up the next generation to love Jesus, love His church, and live on mission.
Your kids matter to us.
Your family matters to us. And we’re just getting started.
Have a great Monday, church.
